1. Agreement
By booking, requesting a quote or using our online tools, you enter into a service agreement with Maletsatsi's Laundry ("we"), governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (CPA).
2. Services
We offer washing, ironing, blanket and duvet cleaning at our Duduza shop. We do not collect or deliver — customers drop off and collect their laundry in person at 381 Tshabacala Street, Duduza.
3. Pricing & Payment
- Quotes generated online are estimates. The final price is confirmed after inspection at drop-off.
- Payment is due on collection via EFT, cash or SnapScan unless otherwise agreed.
- Prices may change without notice. The price quoted at booking remains valid for that order.
4. Drop-off & Collection
You must drop off and collect your laundry at our Duduza shop in person (or nominate someone to do so on your behalf) within your chosen time slot. Bring valid identification or your tracking code on collection.
5. Turnaround
Standard turnaround is 24–48 hours from drop-off. Same-day service requires drop-off before 10:00 and incurs a surcharge. Public holidays may delay turnaround.
6. Care & Liability
- You must declare delicate, dyed, vintage or specialty items at drop-off.
- We follow manufacturers' care labels where present. We are not liable for damage to items without care labels or with hidden defects.
- Our liability for proven damage caused by our negligence is limited to 10× the cleaning cost of the affected item, capped at R2 000 per order, in line with the CPA.
- Claims must be reported in writing within 48 hours of collection.
7. Lost Items & Unclaimed Laundry
Please check your order on collection. Items not collected within 30 days of being ready may be disposed of or donated. We are not responsible for items left longer than this period.
8. Cancellations
You may cancel a booking free of charge before drop-off. No-shows after a confirmed drop-off slot may incur a R50 admin fee.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not submit items that are biohazardous, contaminated with chemicals, illegal substances, or stolen goods. We reserve the right to refuse service.
10. AI Assistant & Automated Quotes
Our chatbot ("Lerato") and pricing calculator provide guidance only — they are not binding quotes. Final pricing and service confirmation always come from a human.
11. Intellectual Property
All site content, branding and the Maletsatsi's Laundry name are owned by us. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by South African law. Disputes will first be addressed directly between us, and may be escalated to the National Consumer Commission or competent South African courts.
